Source:The Daily Beast- author Robin Marantz Henig.

"How do moms and daughters interact in the digital age? Robin Marantz Henig and her daughter Samantha, co-authors of Twentysomething, discuss how the digital age and social media have brought about new challenges for parent/child relationships."

From The Daily Beast

Not unless there are aspects of your life, that you post on Facebook, that you don't mind having your mom or dad seeing.

Not that I'm an expert of this, but I believe for every relationship to be successful and for people to at least be able to keep some parts of their individuality alive and well (especially for individualists) there are parts of your life that you might want to keep from you mom or dad. Just for no other reason that you come from different generations and what might seem perfectly acceptable to you, might seem unhealthy to them. And if you are friends with either of your parents on social media, they could see things about you that look unhealthy to them, even if they seem perfectly normal to you and your everyday friends.
