Rosie Perez: 'Rosie Perez Mocks Mitt Romney’s ‘it Would be Helpful to be Latino’ Comment in New Video'

Source:New York Daily News- Hollywood actress/comedian Rosie Perez, talking about Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

"Mitt Romney says it "would be helpful to be Latino" to gain the White House.

"Actually," actress Rosie Perez says, it would probably be helpful if Romney had a history lesson.

Perez mocks the Republican nominee in a YouTube video posted Sunday — part of a series of humorous ads targeting Romney, entitled, "Actually ... the truth matters."

The super PAC-powered campaign, which is backed by the Jewish Council for Education and Research and the American Bridge 21st Century, aims to spread "the truth, because the truth matters — even in politics," according to the actually.org website."

I'm with Rosie Perez: why would Latinos vote for people who consider them to be Un-American and should've even live in America? Not saying that Mitt Romney believes this. Actually, I'm not saying that Mitt Romney believes anything. You don't earn the nickname Flip Flopper by being someone of high principles. But Governor Romney represents people in his coalition that he has to have vote for him in 2012, that does see Latinos as invaders and people who are Un-Americans, Even though a lot, if not most Latinos are of European ancestry, like Rosie Perez.

Thom Hartmann: Mike Papantonio- 'The Decline of Broadcast News in America'

If as a country, we want to have strong broadcast news divisions, then Americans have to actually watch network news. Instead of just getting all of their info from cable or online.

We live in a liberal democracy, meaning people get to see what they watch. Rather than programming being forced on them. You can’t force people to do what is in their best interest and make the best decisions for themselves in a free society. Which is what a liberal democracy is.

We have a First Amendment which includes our free press (meaning not controlled by the government) and that means our private media is owned privately. Which means our broadcast networks, including their news divisions have to make money in order to stay in business. Unlike big government propaganda agencies that you see in communist countries that are literally owned and operated by the party in power and the government.

So for hard news to be seen and read in America, Americans actually have to watch and read that news coverage, otherwise it won’t make money and put the operating budgets of news companies, including news divisions, at risk. We get all the soft news and partisan news coverage in this country, because that’s what American watch, listen to and read and what makes money in this country.

Al Jazeera: 'The Stream- Redefining Happiness?'

Source:Al Jazeera- on sale in America.

"We look at altering the cycle of consumerism."

From Al Jazeera

"Al Jazeera (Arabic: الجزيرة, romanized: al-jazīrah, IPA: [æl (d)ʒæˈziːrɐ], literally "The Peninsula", referring to the Qatar Peninsula in context)[3] is the state-owned Arabic-language international radio broadcaster of Qatar. It is based in Doha and operated by the media conglomerate Al Jazeera Media Network. The flagship of the network, its station identification, is Al Jazeera.

The patent holding is a "private foundation for public benefit" under Qatari law.[4] Under this organizational structure, the parent receives funding from the government of Qatar but maintains its editorial independence.[5][6] In June 2017, the Saudi, Emirati, Bahraini, and Egyptian governments insisted on the closure of the entire conglomerate as one of thirteen demands made to the Government of Qatar during the Qatar diplomatic crisis.[citation needed] The channel has been criticised by some organisations as well as nations such as Saudi Arabia for being "Qatari propaganda."

Let me guess: the leftist answer to materialism, is raising taxes on everyone, so we would have less money to be materialistic. Leftists always have an excuse to raise taxes on everyone.

On Demand Entertainment: 'Argo Cast Spill The Beans On Ben Affleck As a Boss'

Source:On Demand Entertainment- talking to actor/director Ben Affleck.

"At the premiere of Argo at the London Film Festival, Bryan Cranston and John Goodman dish the dirt on what director Ben Affleck is like as a boss. Report by Louise Hulland."

From On Demand Entertainment

The 1979 Iranian Hostage is something that I've very interested in and lived through as someone who was 3-4 years old at the time. So I would be very disappointed if this movie isn't very good.

I haven't seen Argo yet, so I can't really say anything about it. I've seen documentaries about the true story and how some of the Western hostages were able to escape early pre-1981 when most of the Western hostages were freed, but I don't know much about the movie. So I don't feel comfortable about trying to go into detail about it.

The Daily Beast: Sidney Blumenthal- 'Lincoln: Professional Politician'

Source:The Daily Beast- Author Sidney Blumenthal, talking about his book about Abraham Lincoln.
"Though we have a romanticized view of Abraham Lincoln, the truth is that he was a master politician who knew how to play to the American people. Sidney Blumenthal, author of Newsweek's cover story, discusses the 16th President's political acumen."

From The Daily Beast

Abraham Lincoln was a great politician and I mean that in the best sense possible. That he knew exactly what he believed and what he wanted to do and how to communicate that to Americans, to get them behind him.

The Daily Beast: Robin M. Henig & Samantha Henig- 'Should You Be Facebook Friends with Your Mom?'

Source:The Daily Beast- author Robin Marantz Henig.

"How do moms and daughters interact in the digital age? Robin Marantz Henig and her daughter Samantha, co-authors of Twentysomething, discuss how the digital age and social media have brought about new challenges for parent/child relationships."

From The Daily Beast

Not unless there are aspects of your life, that you post on Facebook, that you don't mind having your mom or dad seeing.

Not that I'm an expert of this, but I believe for every relationship to be successful and for people to at least be able to keep some parts of their individuality alive and well (especially for individualists) there are parts of your life that you might want to keep from you mom or dad. Just for no other reason that you come from different generations and what might seem perfectly acceptable to you, might seem unhealthy to them. And if you are friends with either of your parents on social media, they could see things about you that look unhealthy to them, even if they seem perfectly normal to you and your everyday friends.
